An application for domiciliary care allowance (DCA) was received from this lady on the 24th October 2016. The application was not allowed as it was considered that the child did not meet the eligibility criteria for the allowance. A letter issued on 14th February 2017outlining the decision.

A request for a review of this decision was received on 2nd March 2017. The application will be re-examined by a deciding officer and a revised decision will be made if warranted. The person concerned will be notified of the outcome of this review as soon as it is completed. Such reviews can take up to 14 weeks to complete at present.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
