164. To ask the Minister for Social Protection if a person (details supplied) who is in receipt of illness benefit is entitled to have their fuel allowance restored from the date they were moved from their entitlement to jobseeker's allowance; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The person concerned is in receipt of illness benefit since 23 November 2016. Illness benefit is not a qualifying payment for receipt of fuel allowance and therefore the payment cannot be restored.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
