91. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his attention or that of his predecessors has been drawn to a decision in 2015 of Córas Iompair Éireann, CIE, to extend for six years the terms of the master development agreement in relation to a site (details supplied); if he understands the rationale for this decision in view of the fact serious questions had been raised regarding whether this arrangement was best value for money for a publicly owned company; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Transport Acts provide CIÉ with the statutory power to acquire and dispose of property. The CIÉ decision raised by the Deputy is a matter for CIÉ and not a matter in which the Minister has a role. Therefore, I have forwarded the Deputy's question to CIÉ for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
