The project for the school to which the Deputy refers is one of the research strands in the programme for the introduction of Nearly Zero Energy School Buildings. Nearly zero-energy means a building that has a very high energy performance. The project is currently at a detailed stage of design, tender documentation is being prepared by the Design Team and expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors has been sought.

It is anticipated the project shall proceed to tender during the 2^ndquarter of 2017, with construction to commence before the end of the year.
