To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of submissions on hand with the Commission for Rail Regulation from Iarnród Éireann which have not yet had a decision made on them; the outline of the nature of each submission; when they were received by the commission; when it is intended to make a decision in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Commission for Rail Regulation is the independent regulatory body charged with the responsibility for the regulation of the rail safety and railway activities in the State. In the circumstances, I have referred your question to the Commission for direct reply to you.
