I propose to take Questions Nos. 762 and 763 together.

As the Deputy will be aware the HSE National Women & Infants Health Programme has now been established. It is intended that all future development funding for maternity services will be ring-fenced and allocated through the Programme. Therefore all requests for new investment must be prioritised by the Programme in a national context.

In relation to your specific query concerning specialised diagnostic maternity equipment for the CUMH, I have asked the HSE to reply to you directly.
