260. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the reason for the alteration in the numbers of social housing builds for 2016 between Wednesday 8 and Friday 10 February in communications from his Department. [8330/17]

The only breakdown of the delivery for social housing in 2016 published by my Department, including the number of built units, was set out in the second Quarterly Progress Report on the implementation of the Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness, published on 7 February 2017. The number of built social housing units in 2016, as set out in the second Quarterly Progress Report is provisional, while final statistics are gathered from local authorities for publication by my Department in the usual manner.
