105. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality her views on the overturning on appeal of the ruling in her favour and the subsequent removal of a judgment mortgage by order of the Court of Appeal with respect to civil litigation in which she was a defendant (details supplied); her further views on whether this mortgage was reprehensible; and if she will issue an apology or statement. As the Deputy is aware, the courts are subject only to the Constitution and the law, independent in the exercise of their judicial functions. It is therefore not open to me to comment or intervene in any way on the conduct or decision of a particular court case which is a matter entirely for the presiding judge.
