To ask the Minister for Education and Skills to specify the person or body that is responsible for providing and funding readers for children with dyslexia who are undertaking State examinations, such as the leaving or junior certificate examinations or mock examinations; and the procedure for securing this vital support. I propose to take Questions Nos. 175 and 176 together.

The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations. The Commission in this regard operates a scheme of Reasonable Accommodations in the Certificate Examinations.
