358. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 363 of 31 January 2017, if he will clarify the statement (details supplied) regarding the way in which a pension scheme can exit the public sector transfer network; and if a statutory instrument is not required. The Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 does not prescribe a methodology for bodies to leave the public service transfer network (PSTN). It is a very rare occurrence that a body seeks to leave the PSTN and any cases have been dealt with on their individual merits. Officials in my Department are currently undertaking a comprehensive review of the PSTN and a revised list of members will be issued in due course.
