153. To ask the Minister for Finance if the Government has secured assurances that Ireland’s corporation tax regime will not be targeted following Britain’s departure from the EU; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5498/17]

Taxation is a sovereign Member State competence and decisions at Council on tax matters require unanimity. Ireland's sovereignty on tax matters is not affected by Brexit and this sovereignty is guaranteed by the EU Treaties.
