673. To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to set out in tabular form the total annual amount of expenditure by IDA Ireland for the Succeed in Ireland Initiative since its establishment; the total number of participants on an annual basis; the original annual participation targets set against actual participation numbers; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Succeed-in-Ireland (SII) initiative has been operated by Connect Ireland (CI) on the basis of a contract that was agreed with IDA Ireland on 27 March 2012.

I understand from the IDA that since SII commenced in March 2012, 82 business plans have been approved and a total of 527 jobs have been created.

A total of €2,069,000 has been paid to CI by the IDA as a financial award in respect of jobs created through SII. A further €150,000 has been paid to CI for marketing support.
