142. To ask the Minister for Finance the contact that took place between his Department and the Federal Republic of Brazil regarding Ireland's inclusion on Brazil's taxation blacklist, in view of the fact that there is no record of any correspondence between his Department and Brazil between 1 August 2016 and 8 January 2017; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Ireland's interaction with Brazil on this important issue is being led by the Irish Ambassador to Brazil. All correspondence with the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service on this issue has to date been through the Ambassador and the Department of Foreign Affairs. My officials and officials from the Revenue Commissioners continue to be actively engaged in supporting the Ambassador in our efforts to seek Ireland's removal from the Brazilian list. This includes arranging a delegation of officials meeting with their Brazilian counterparts to attempt to address any concerns the Brazilian side have.
