To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the name of the service provider tasked with delivering broadband in the Granard area of County Longford; if there are plans by this company to improve the service in this area and in particular the service provided to a business (details supplied); and if his Department will contact this business, as outlined in a previous parliamentary reply, in order to provide assistance in this regard. I refer to the reply to Question No. 1481 of 17 January, 2017 in which I advised that the business referred to falls within the AMBER area, which is the target area for the State Intervention and will, therefore, be included in the State Intervention procurement process which is now underway.
