My Department is currently considering a proposal submitted by the organising committee in relation to this specific commemorative event. More broadly, consideration is also being given to how the 150^thAnniversary of the 1867 Fenian Rising might be appropriately marked at home and internationally. My Department will consult with the Expert Advisory Group on Commemorations in this regard.
