Advertisements were placed in local and national newspapers in January 2015 for suitable sites to provide a new Garda Station in this location.

Following receipt of submissions at that time, a site has been identified for the new Garda Station and the Office of Public Works is finalising legal formalities to acquire this site. This process is nearing completion now, and at this stage it is not possible to include any other sites in the process.
