To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if the transitional arrangements for pig farmers can be allowed to continue in the current format until the full review of the nitrates regulations in 2017 is completed, in view of the fact that this is necessary to ensure that pig slurry is not disenfranchised and to promote its use as an environmental alternative to imported chemical slurry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
