To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of wheelchair accessible taxis in each county; the number of wheelchair accessible taxis which became available under the new grant system set up in 2014; the number of grants which were given to individual drivers; the number and size of the grants given to multi plate holders; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The regulation of the small public service vehicle (SPSV) industry, including the granting of wheelchair accessible taxi/hackney licences and the administration of grant schemes for wheelchair accessible vehicles, is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) under the provisions of the Taxi Regulation Act 2013.
