509. To ask the Minister for Health the cost to the HSE for procedures which at short notice, that is, under 24 hours, were cancelled due to a bed not being available for the incoming persons requiring the procedure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40004/16]

To ask the Minister for Health the exact number of procedures which have been cancelled by the HSE with less than 24 hours' notice being given to persons for which the reason for the cancellation was that there was no bed available to accommodate the persons; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
