To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the number of staff employed by each Minister and Minister of State, including parliamentary assistants, secretarial assistants, special advisers, press secretaries and other positions, broken down by Minister, in tabular form; the pay rate for each assistant; and the total cost per Minister; and if he will make a statement on the matter. See below in tabular form the number of staff employed in my Department in the private and constituency offices of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform and the Minister of State for Financial Services, eGovernment and Public Procurement at the Departments of Finance and of Public Expenditure and Reform, by Minister, grade, and salary scale.
All appointments have been made in accordance with the "Instructions to Personnel Officers - Ministerial Appointments for the 32nd Dáil" issued in June 2016.
Please note that as Parliamentary Assistant and Secretarial Assistants are paid by the Oireachtas this Department does not have salary information in relation to these staff.

The Minister of State has a dual portfolio that includes responsibility for the Department of Finance.
