Regulation of the sale and resale of tickets is primarily a matter for my colleague the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. However, in the context of the public concern about the secondary sale of tickets for major sporting events, I have held discussions with the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation in regard to the need to introduce measures aimed at securing fairer access to tickets for consumers.

My officials are engaging with officials at the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to consider how best an examination could be undertaken with a view to identifying such measures.
