706. To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the total overall amount paid by way of grant aid to An Taisce from 2010 to 2016; and for each year respectively; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37605/16]

A total of €4.31 million has been provided to An Taisce between 2010 and 2016 in respect of a range of environmental activities and public awareness initiatives which it undertakes, including: the National Spring Clean initiative; contribution to the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL) National Litter League; and the Green Schools programme. Funding was also provided from the Environment Fund during the period in question for the Green Coast and Blue Flag Awards.

Funding to an An Taisce is provided from the Environment Fund. The annual allocations for each of the years 2010 to 2016 are set out in the following table.
