Funding was approved under the Additional Accommodation Scheme 2015 to enable the Boards of Management of the schools in question to provide additional accommodation for their schools.

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that additional funding was recently approved to enable the project to proceed to construction.

208. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the stage his plans are at for the provision of permanent buildings for two schools (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [34489/16]

The permanent accommodation for the schools to which the Deputy refers is being provided under my Department's Design & Build Programme. 

An application for planning permission for the development was lodged in July following which a request for additional information was received.  A reply was submitted to South Dublin County Council on the 21st October 2016.  My Department awaits the outcome of the planning process.
