702. To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation further to Parliamentary Question No. 901 of 31 May 2016, if she has received the report of the Low Pay Commission on the sub-minimum rates of the minimum wage which was due by the end of October 2016; if so, when she plans to publish the report; if not, when she expects the report to be completed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Further to my reply to the question referred to, the Commission submitted its Report to me on the matter on October 28 last, and I propose to publish it shortly. It may be noted however, that the Commission did not consider it appropriate to make recommendations at this time, in the absence of up-to-date data from the Central Statistics Office which is pending validation. The likely timescale for the validation of this data is not yet confirmed.

The Commission has undertaken to submit its recommendations in a supplementary report as soon as the data is validated.
