To ask the Minister for Health when the last contact between the HSE corporate pharmaceutical unit and a company (details supplied) took place; if he has read a report from the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group, which conducted a very thorough assessment of the cost effectiveness of a drug, taking into consideration likely savings from reduced primary, secondary and tertiary care expenditure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for the administration of the primary care schemes; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
