My Department has prepared a Draft Statement of Strategy as provided for under Section 5 of the Public Service Management Act 1997. I am currently considering this document with a view to finalising it before its submission to Government. My Department is not directly responsible for the provision of services specifically targeted at persons with disabilities. However, the relevant provisions of the National Disability Strategy Implementation Plan, which underpins the participation of people with disabilities in Irish society, will continue to be reflected in the development and implementation of policies and schemes administered by my Department.
