My Department's role in relation to tourism lies primarily in the area of national tourism policy. The development of business tourism is an operational matter for the Boards and Management of Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland. Fáilte Ireland is responsible for the development of the business tourism sector and  Tourism Ireland is responsible for overseas marketing of Ireland as a destination for business tourism.
