To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his attention has been drawn to a serious allegation made by a former catering contractor who held a contract with his Department for 16 years and who alleges that as a result of inference by an official from his Department and Revenue has caused him to lose their business; if any investigation has been made into these allegations; if he has satisfied himself that all officials from within his Department acted appropriately at all times; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 562 and 577 together.
I understand that the issue raised has been considered. My Department responded with a clear position some time ago and regards the matter concluded.
