To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the number of persons currently on the waiting list for the housing adaptation grant scheme for people with a disability by local authority area; the average waiting time per local authority area; the average level of funding awarded to each local authority for the purposes of carrying out works under the scheme for each of the past ten years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The detailed administration of the Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and People with a Disability , including the assessment, approval and prioritisation of grants to applicants under the various grant measures, is the responsibility of the local authorities and my Department does not hold information in relation to waiting lists or times. The average level s of funding provided by my Department to local authorities under these Grants are available in the following table, while details of the 2016 allocations are available on my Department’s website at the following link: .
