169. To ask the Minister for Health the number of staff allocated to drugs task forces per county and per service division nationally in each of the years 2012 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28958/16]

It is assumed that the Deputy is referring to staff employed to support the day-to-day operation of Local and Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Forces and HSE Addiction Service staff.

Drug and Alcohol Task Force coordinators are, in the main, employed by the Health Service Executive (HSE). However, the HSE also allocates funding to Drug and Alcohol Task Forces for other support workers, including the posts of development worker and administrator.

HSE Addiction Service staff are aligned to HSE Community Health Organisations rather than Drug and Alcohol Task Force geographical areas.

In the circumstances, I have asked the HSE to collate the information requested and to respond to the Deputy directly.
