As previously outlined in reply to the Deputy’s earlier questions, No. 47257/14 on 9thNovember 2014 and No. 2076/15 on 15thJanuary 2015, the claim for Mortgage Interest Supplement in respect of the person concerned was disallowed on 23rdDecember 2011 and this decision was upheld by the Social Welfare Appeals Office in an appeal decision issued on 27 July, 2012. There is no recourse to a further review of this claim.
No new claim was made by the person concerned prior to the closure of the Mortgage Interest Supplement scheme on 1January, 2014. As the scheme is now closed to new claims, this Department is not in a position to accept a further application for Mortgage Interest Supplement from the client concerned.
