484. To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the cost to introduce a minimum weekly gross wage of €480, €500, €520, €560 or €600 for all full-time employees under the aegis of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27789/16]

The estimated additional annual cost of the introduction of a minimum weekly gross wage of €480, €500, €520, €560 or €600 for all full-time employees to the Department is:

€480 per week | €240,000 per annum |
---|---|
€500 per week | €320,000 per annum |
€520 per week | €400,000 per annum |
€560 per week | €610,000 per annum |
€600 per week | €925,000 per annum |
This is based on the current staff composition of the Department and changes to this staff composition will effect these estimates. My Department applies the rates of pay set by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.
