Bord na gCon is a commercial State body, established in 1958 under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958, chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry. The following table lists funding provided to Bord na gCon through the Horse and Greyhound Racing Fund for the past five years.

With regard to the total number of employees and the amount of money spent on wages and salaries, these details are published in Bord na gCon’s annual accounts. The accounts can be accessed through the Bord na gCon website at www.igb.ie.
