To ask the Minister for Health if he or his Department has considered or would consider the establishment of family care co-ordinator positions in hospitals to assist families diagnosed with genetic illnesses or who have other complex care needs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Hospitals have arrangements in place to support families with complex care needs. In relation to the establishment of family care co-ordinator positions in hospitals services, as this is a service matter, I have asked the HSE to respond to you directly.
