The loss of a loved one under any circumstances is difficult, more so when the loss occurs away from home and I would like to extend my sympathy to the family involved in the case outlined by the Deputy.
I am advised by the General Register Office that, to date, no request has been received from the family concerned.
The family should apply in writing to the Registrar General and include all relevant details with the application. The Registrar General may be contacted at:
