To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he is aware of any developments regarding the establishment of a college of further education in the Swords area of north County Dublin, given the fact that Fingal has the fastest growing population in the State; if he will support the development of such an educational facility to cater for the demand which exists in Swords and the greater north county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand that SOLAS has recently received an application from Dublin Dun Laoghaire ETB (DDLETB) for funding to establish a College of Further Education in Swords. SOLAS is examining the application and will meet with DDLETB in relation to the application.
