A decision on entitlement to guardian's payment can only be made following receipt of a completed application form by the Department of Social Protection. An application form for guardian's payment has been sent to the person concerned for completion.

On return, a Deciding Officer will examine the person's eligibility for the scheme and the person concerned will be notified of the outcome.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
