To ask the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of families and the number of children placed in temporary accommodation as a result of homelessness who have been referred to Tusla in the 12 months to July 2016; the steps are being taken by Tusla to ensure that families who find themselves in emergency accommodation are aware of, and are receiving, appropriate support from it; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
