The role of the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport in relation to tourism lies primarily in the area of national policy and it is not involved in the management or development of individual projects.  The management and development of the tourist facilities at Malin Head is a matter in the first instance for Donegal County Council. Funding assistance being provided to the project is an operational matter for the Board and Management of Fáilte Ireland. Accordingly, I have asked Fáilte Ireland to reply to the Deputy directly in regard to their role.  Please contact my private office if you do not hear from them within ten working days.
