To ask the Minister for Health the number of emergency ambulances that have been decommissioned by the HSE National Ambulance Service in 2016 to date; the number of new emergency ambulances that have been acquired in 2016 to date; the number of intermediate care ambulances that have been decommissioned by the HSE National Ambulance Service in 2016 to date; the number of new intermediate care ambulances that have been acquired in 2016 to date; the number of rapid response vehicles that have been decommissioned by the HSE National Ambulance Service in 2016 to date; the number of new rapid response vehicles that have been acquired in 2016 to date; the number of vehicles that have been commissioned or purchased as rapid response vehicles by the National Ambulance Service that have been acquired in 2016 to date; the number currently in use; the number awaiting entry into service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the HSE to respond to the Deputy directly. If the Deputy has not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days, he should contact my Private Office and my officials will follow the matter up.

To ask the Minister for Health the number of emergency ambulances in service; the number according to the year they entered service in tabular form; and to further detail in the table between pods and vehicles in terms of the date they entered service and the HSE region in which they are based; the number of intermediate care ambulances currently in service; if he will provide a breakdown of the total number according to the year they entered service in tabular form; and to further detail in that table between pods and vehicles in terms of the date they entered service and the HSE region in which they are based; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To ask the Minister for Health the distances that have been travelled by emergency ambulances in service, indicating the HSE region and subdivided by every 50,000 miles/80,000 km in tabular form; the distances that have been travelled by intermediate care ambulances in service; the distances that have been travelled by rapid response vehicles in service in such a capacity; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
