Capita Business Support Services Ireland was awarded a 10 year contract in December 2013 to develop and implement the National Postcode System "Eircode".
My Department referred the issue to the Eircode contractor but the information provided in the Question is insufficient to resolve the case. The Government approved the award of a contract to Capita Business Support Services Ireland Limited in 2013 for the development, rollout and operation of the National Postcode System under licence for an initial ten year period extendable at the discretion of the Minister by a further five years. The contract was awarded following a procurement process that was conducted in accordance with Irish and EU procurement law.
