To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to outline his plans to review the operation of the inspection system and agricultural appeals office in the context of a recent case (details supplied) which found the inspection system employed was procedurally flawed; the number of such decisions and appeals that will be affected by this decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The legal case to which the Deputy refers has not yet reached its conclusion, and as the matter progresses I will be obtaining legal advice as appropriate. Accordingly, issues such as those raised by the Deputy can only be addressed following the completion of the legal process.
