The designation of areas under the Birds and Habitats Directives is a matter in the first instance for the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. My Department has recently received revised datasets from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, which are currently being reviewed by officials in my Department.

Any updates or revised designations will be incorporated into the GLAS online system in advance of GLAS 3 being launched.
