188. To ask the Minister for Education and Skills the reason Caranua is now closing clients' files and insisting that they must go through the approval process all over again just to be accepted as a client; if the request for services in the name of a person (details supplied) will be processed and approved; and if he will confirm the level of State funding granted to this organisation over the past three years. Caranua is an independent statutory body established pursuant to the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Act 2012. Any questions on an individual's entitlement to or approval for services is a matter for Carnua. Caranua is funded entirely from contributions from the religious congregations and is not in receipt of State funding.
