To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if a motorist is entitled to receive photo and calibration details from the fixed charged processing office of An Garda Síochána prior to any possible appeal to the courts in respect of an alleged offence that may involve the imposition of penalty points; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will appreciate that I have no function in relation to the bringing of prosecutions for road traffic or other offences. To be of assistance, I have sought the observations of the Garda authorities in relation to the matters referred to and will contact the Deputy directly as soon as the information is to hand.
