The Sustainable Energy Authority (SEAI) administer the Better Energy Homes Scheme on behalf of my Department. The Scheme delivers a range of energy efficiency measures to households which include attic insulation, wall insulation, heating systems upgrades, solar thermal systems and an accompanying Building Energy Rating (BER). Currently there is a €1,200 grant available to homeowners who wish to have solar thermal system installed in their homes. Full technical details of the solar thermal grant can be found on the SEAI website www.seai.ie/Renewables/Solar_Energy/Solar_Policy_and_Funding/Solar_Grants/#sthash.cIehkWD1.dpuf.
