According to the latest figures available in the National Forest Inventory (2012) the proportion of forest cover in Co Leitrim is 16.7% (26,500 ha).

There are no county by county or regional targets for forestry planting in Ireland. I can confirm that there were 36 sites planted in Co Leitrim in 2014 totalling 271.91 hectares while nationally there was 6,156 hectares planted in the same year.
