I am informed by the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) of my Department that the person referred to entered the State as a student on a Stamp 2 student visa on the 4th March, 2007. The person concerned made an application to change their immigration status from Stamp 2 to Stamp 4. This application was refused on the 26 November, 2015. Judicial Review proceedings were issued on 17 December, 2015 seeking to quash the refusal decision. As the matter issub judice am not in a position to comment further.
