The position is outlined in my Department's Circular 0008/2013 in that persons who are employed in a teaching position in an unqualified capacity and who become eligible for the qualified rate of pay on or after 1st February 2012 will be placed on the relevant pay scale from the date on which they become appropriately qualified and registered.
