The project to deliver a new building for the school referred to by the Deputy was included in the list of projects recently announced to go to construction in 2019-2021.

As the Deputy will be aware, officials in my Department have been working closely with officials from Meath County Council towards the acquisition of a permanent site to meet the needs of the school to which he refers. A number of potentially suitable sites were identified and attempts to progress their acquisition were unsuccessful. However an alternative site is currently under consideration. I appreciate that the process is taking a considerable length of time but I can assure the Deputy that the acquisition of a suitable site for the school is very active on the programme of site acquisitions and every effort is being made to secure a suitable site for the school as expeditiously as possible.

Due to commercial sensitivities it is not possible to provide further information at this time.
